WHO is this JPiXeL guy anyways?!

I'm Jon P. (that's where the JP in JPiXeL comes from if you didn't already catch that.)

and I'm obliged to say that I'm not, in fact, a freakishly large rat man in real life.

I'm kind of a jack of all trades (master of none) when it comes to all sorts of media, animation, art, music, and even building the very site you see here with a keyboard and my own two hands.


I spend a lot of my free time on the computer doing art, animation, music, worrying about my future, and forgetting to take breaks.


I've helped out on a few indie animation projects such as Leah Hall's Mammal Squad! and Matthew S.' Lexie the Superfox, and have done some odd jobs here and there to keep myself afloat, like illustration work for a local park district, for example.


Influences & Inspirations

My influences for art comes from the retro-futurism of the early-mid 2000's, video games like Jet Set Radio, and 90's cartoons during the era of creator-driven toons.

    (with a HUGE collection consisting of over 900+ games.)

  • talking to my friends online who have common interests

    (i.e. games, movies, TV shows, music, favorite characters, drawing our own characters, drawing each other characters, watching videos, messing around, you know how it goes)

  • going to antique stores/toy shows

    dad likes to bring me over to whatever antique shops he finds, he's usually looking for hot wheels, model cars and old signs, i'm usually looking for old games and old plushes & toys of my favorite characters. (collection kind of runs in the family.)

  • furries
    AKA: people who like the idea of walking, talking animals and make cool, creative work surrounding that idea.
    i think the idea of walking, talking animals are cool and i feature them very prominently.

  • I can also be sort of a neat-freak, so i like to organize my games, and other things by color, size, and alphabetically. did i mention my autism?
