Cubesy - Boss Theme (2017)
This is an older track from the scrapped game we were working on, Cubesy's Awful Day
Originally before we tried doing this game on Unity, I originally planned for this game to be a Game Boy styled game first using Scratch, and then a very outdated version of Gamemaker: Studio.
But again, I wasn't that great with coding, so the furthest I got with that version was the spritework, sounds, (glitchy) coding, and music.
So here's the original boss theme I made in BeepBox. -
Target Manic
A short music loop I made for a VR game project we were making during our last days in High School.
The game was meant to be basically Warioware in VR, but unfortunately we didn't have time to fully realize it, especially after we had just finished a game project previously.
(i genuinely don't know if i still have the files for that previous game project, but i have a feeling it would set my computer on fire if i try to run it.)
We had the functions and programming down, but we only made two mini games for the thing. One of these games were a target shooting game, where you had to shoot a number of sentient targets with googly-eyes to win.
I drew some inspiration from the band Begnagrad to evoke that sense of insanity this band's most famous for, with tracks like Coc n' Rolla.
Footage of said game can be found here. -
CyberQuest
A track I made, utilizing some new samples I found on aminet.net. This was probably my first "serious" composition I've made with OpenMPT.
At this time, I was heavily influenced by old tracker music made from Amiga software. I would listen to this music on my way to Tech Campus and back during High School.
Eventually I got around to making my own tracker piece influenced by these old Tracker songs.

Cubesy - One of Those Days (2018)
A bouncy, jazzy tune, inspired by Conker's Bad Fur Day.
This was intended for an indie game I was making in Unity with a group of friends called Cubesy's Awful Day, starring a blue Cube person called Cubesy, who had to go through extremely challenging (and trollish) levels due to being cursed by an evil, spherical wizard, Sphericus, to have bad luck for all eternity, unless Cubesy could defeat him and get their luck back.
It was meant to be like an N64 game, heavily inspired by Rareware titles (the title is a very obvious knock-off of Conker.), with low-poly models, low-res textures and all.
Unfortunately, the closest we got to development was the concept art, modeling, and music. I was very inexperienced with Unity, and coding in general, so I kinda stayed away from development for a while, until deciding to quietly abandon the project (for now).
The problem with most of my own game projects was that I would often focus too much on the aesthetics than the functionality. (Art, design, music, etc.) and it would often lead me feeling burnt out of making video games once I got to the programming aspect.
Lesson learned-make sure the damn thing works before the art!! -
Slapstick
A weird song I made in OpenMPT in the .mod format.
This probably started as a Cubesy song, but I felt like making it its own thing at the time.
Not sure what I should say about this song, but I kinda figured it sounded a bit Earthbound-ish, maybe?
(its quirky, but its not even close to earthbound.)
