That's right.
Welcome to 2.0!!!
It's been a while since I last updated this little site, and this one ended up being a pretty big one. Figuratively and literally big.
Don't get me wrong, I did like how the site looked before, but 800px wide is just too narrow and cramped for a site like this, especially if you want to view it on a widescreen monitor. with high resolution pixels, visually it looked tiny.
Doesn't really give me enough leg room to do too much.
This update's been a long time coming, so let's lay down all of the changes so far.
-
sitewide
*site is now 400px wider than the original 800px. (totaled up to 1200px in width)
*header banner is also now smaller, taking up a lot less space estate.
*redrew certain design elements into vector images, so it doesn't look AS blurry on mobile.
*finally updated Ko-Fi logos to match the current design.
*music player has a fresh new look! you can now see the song title and artist(s), and if it gets too distracting, you can always press the "ℹ" button to hide it!
*all pages now have a pop-up warning up top when Javascript is disabled. a lot of the pages on this site require Javascript to function, so it would be a great idea to turn it on if you haven't already.
-
index
*THE MONITOR HAS AN ANIMATED SCREENSAVER SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHERE TO CLICK TO ENTER THE SITE.
*oh yeah, the look of the index page's been freshened up to go with the new room model.
-
homepage
*COMPLETELY overhauled design.
*NEW MUSIC, replacing the old one i made back in 2020.
*fanstuff corner now cycles through four different pieces on refresh.
*vail's a lot more lively now. (still very boppable though.)
-
works
*pop-up in the corner shows the different works i've helped out on.
*updated all thumbnail buttons for each page. especially the one for the artwork page, that's been changed to something a little less thrown together.
*banners in the works section are now color-coordinated with each page's color scheme, for the sake of consistency.
*merged certain galleries by year together
art page
*when you hover over each art piece, a small tray with different social icons appears underneath. now you can easily find it and share it to your favorite socials!
commissions
*adjusted prices in each category
*added one extra example for each category due to the extra screen space.
about
*okay to be completely honest, i've barely touched this section. i kinda threw this one together when this whole site was part of my final project in HTML class. it was in dire need of an update.
*shortened the "about me" page so it doesn't read like i'm padding out an essay for english class
*NEW Q&A PAGE... will add more over time.
oh yeah- some catching up to do here!
Lots of stuff happened since the last post!
I worked on Episode 5 of Mammal Squad, and it did pretty well!
and then I compiled all the scenes I've worked on so far into one big
video, which you can see here.
bro thinks hes part of the squad
There was also some copyright issues with the ending music of Episode 4 on the YouTube upload, so MoonToon asked me to write some new music to replace the ending theme on that episode, which you can listen to here.
I've also been uploading shorts to my YouTube page, if any of you had noticed. Just to dump some of the one-off animation loops I made just for fun, and also contribute creatively to offset the amount of unremarkable slop being shown on that site. The Spring Fever animation took off like crazy on Bluesky. Unexpectedly so! I figured I'd make the short a bit more accessible by putting it up on YouTube. (it also did amazing there.)
I was also featured as Newground's User Of The Day last Friday, which was pretty freakin' sweet! Not sure what I did to warrant being featured here, but I really appreciate it!
oh yeah... about that
job i mentioned on the last post
...they never called me back to work.
so in the meantime,
i've since reopened commissions
while i keep looking for work!

12th anniversary of being terminally online!
Oh yeah! Today just so happens to be my 12th anniversary of my online presence!

yippeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
On this day way back in 2014, I first created my YouTube channel, with little idea what I was gonna be doing with it in the longrun.
When I was about 11 or 12, I watched a lot of YouTube on mom's old
iPod touch and discovered a lot of new interests through there. (retro
gaming, animation, computing, etc.)
If I can remember, it was originally going to be a gaming channel, but
that didn't really last. I started by uploading a few videos just for
fun, but eventually I pivoted towards animation, making a few
stop-motion shorts and experimenting with different animation
software, and even sharing some of the old Flipnotes I made on my DSi
while I wasn't able to make a Hatena account.
It wasn't until I discovered Sudomemo that I started to kinda make a name for myself. It was probably the most exciting time for me to be in, cause I could finally share my previously unseen animations with the world, and potentially make new friends through it!
And now I'm here, with a neat little site to call my own, and now I'm collaborating on big projects with those friends.
This major update took me almost the whole month to finish, so lemme know what you think, if you've got any constructive feedback, I'd like to hear it.
But that's all for now,
See you on the next blue moon!
